We went to the Peranakan Museum on 13 November. The pupils learnt lots of interesting facts about the Peranakans. They were very well-behaved.

I like to go to Peranakan Museum! It was fun!
I had leart loads of things during the trip.I enjoyed it very much it was fun!!
a few things that I had learnt: 1)Peranakan means:born of... or child of... 2)if the child is a Peranakan, it means that the father is a chinese and mother is a Indian or Malay 3)the Nonyas spent many Hours sewing tiny, tiny beads on shoes for their future mother-in-laws before getting married with her mother-in-law's son which will be the nonya's future husband.once the nonya's future mother-in-law is satisfied with the shoes, she will agree for her son to get married with the nonya which made her(mother-in-law)the pair of beads shoes.4)befor getting married the two families must give gifts to each other
I hope that we could go to such fun places again.
Thanks for your comments. Wow, Felicia, you've certainly paid attention to the tour guide during the excursion!
I felt happy to learnt about the peranakan people. When someone's father is indian while its mother is malay or chinese, we call their child a peranakan person.Nonyas do a lot of things to make their mother-in-law feel satisfied so that they can merry the men she likes.I wish I can go to any museum which is wonderful like the Peranakan Museum.
